Ted Lawrence

  • Raised in Mahopac, NY
  • All-Section Football/Baseball at Mahopac H.S.
  • Scouted by Bill Fesh of the Los Angeles Dodgers, junior and senior year high school
  • #9 jersey retired at Mahopac High, inducted into school’s Hall of Fame
  • Numerous collegiate football and baseball scholarship offers
  • Starred at Pace University on a full baseball scholarship (1983-1985)
  • 3 time All-Conference First Team
  • Selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 1985 Major League Baseball draft after stellar junior season
  • Made MLB Detroit Tigers 40-man roster as a catcher 1986
  • Earned Master’s Degree in Physical Education; teaching and coaching high school baseball over 25 years Westchester/Putnam Counties
  • Varsity head baseball coach for 16 years; finished with 201 wins, amassing numerous league & NYS titles
  • Now follows two of three sons at top-flight Div. l & Div. III programs
  • Instructor Power Yoga for Baseball
  • Wife, Gwen, owns and operates power yoga for sports, working with professional NY Teams: Giants, Yankees, Rangers, Knicks, Red Bulls and NYCFC Soccer
  • Preaches sportsmanship, fundamentals and proper mechanics
  • Specializes in teaching catchers, the art of hitting, and infield play.

Joe Kesselmark 

  • Raised in Poughkeepsie, NY
  • Three-sport All-County selection (baseball, football, basketball) at Our Lady of Lourdes H.S.
  • Inducted to the Lourdes Athletic Hall of Fame in its inaugural year
  • Starred at Pace University on an athletic and academic scholarship to play Division I baseball (1984-86)
  • Received several state, regional, and national awards highlighted by being selected to the 1986 GTE Academic All-American 1st team at Pace, hitting .487 (2nd among D-I in country) junior year
  • Inducted to Pace Athletic Hall of Fame
  • Selected in the 8th round of the MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers
  • Hit .348 and was selected the MVP of the Pioneer League in first year of pro ball
  • Played five professional season with L.A. Dodgers and Cleveland Indians reaching the AAA level, including being invited to big league camps and winter pro ball in Venezuela
  • Coached baseball at all youth levels (tee-ball through college) at camps and clinics
  • Specializes in hitting, and outfield technique
  • Preaches sportsmanship, dedication to the craft
  • Currently a Division II college assistant baseball coach
